Hywel Loveluck - CEO

Hywel Loveluck is the founder and CEO of ProPractices, bringing over a decade of senior-level experience in healthcare M&A and strategic advisory. His early career at Grant Thornton saw him lead and support complex mid-market transactions across the UK, building a strong foundation in dealmaking, commercial due diligence, and growth strategy.

Hywel has advised on a wide range of multi-site, high-value transactions in the dental, veterinary, and wider healthcare sectors—acting for both independent operators and corporate consolidators. His approach combines commercial rigour with deep sector insight, helping clients navigate competitive sale processes, maximise value, and align with the right strategic partners.

A fluent Welsh and Spanish speaker, Hywel offers a culturally agile, cross-border perspective that has proven especially valuable in international mandates. In addition to leading ProPractices, he has founded ventures in healthcare, professional services, and education, each grounded in a commitment to quality, ethics, and long-term value creation.

Outside of work, Hywel is a passionate Road and Mountain biker and fell runner, deeply connected to the landscape, language, and culture of Wales. His values-driven leadership style and long-standing commitment to standards, integrity, and innovation continue to shape the future of healthcare M&A—particularly across the dental and veterinary sectors.

Education & Qualifications

Hywel holds an MBA (Distinction), a degree in Agricultural Business, and a Graduate Diploma in Marketing. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, he has completed executive programmes at Cambridge and Cranfield, and holds a highly acclaimed Diploma in Corporate Finance from London Business School.
